i'm at greenwich village

i'm at greenwich village... well, by the time you read this, i was at greenwich village. was at harlem for lunch for a $11.95 buffet lunch too... very home-cooked southern fare, very dirty grimy place but the food was cheap!

i actually had pretty good and resonably-priced szechuan food last night in the east village. it seems that's what i'm always talking about... eating.

i actually went to the metropolitan museum of art this morning too and it was packed. went to moma last night and it was free entry but the line was super long and snaked around the block a couple of times. fortunately, the line moved vert fast.

i'm going to eat at the szechuan restaurant tonight again... grand szechuan. i really don't have anything else to say...

i wanted to go to the fruit party!! glad you enjoyed it. i hopê it was a good break from the book. i hope the launch went well.

my trip is always motivated by food!! haha. i was in harlem so that i can eat at charles southern kitchen for the buffet. the fried chicken and ribs were very yummy!

we were on 150-something street which was more residential and less commercial shopping area. but the street is relatively safe (it was in the afternoon too) and there was a chinese take-out joint, so there were a couple of chinese guys beside us. it was not a tough neighbourhood.

oh where to start on the met... it is huge. it would take a few days to go through all the collections. good chinese art collection but nothing that cannot be seen at the national museum in taipei. i love the egyptian collection though.

just email me at bearcanboogie@gmail.com!
